How can we help?

Tap the green + in the middle of the tab bar from anywhere in the app. The keypad opens with your job, wage, hours and tip-out already filled in from last time — type tonight's tips and tap save. That is the whole flow, and it is meant to take about ten seconds.

For the full daily log: Settings → Data & privacy → Export all data, then choose CSV or PDF. This is free on every tier, including the free one.

For the formatted IRS-ready report with the year's summary and disclaimers: Taxes → Tax report. That export is a Pro feature.

Settings → Subscription → Change or cancel plan, which links you straight to Apple's subscription settings. You can also go directly to iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Tipfolio. It runs through Apple and takes about ten seconds.

Pro stays active until the end of the period you have paid for. When it ends your log is completely untouched and export stays free — only the Pro features stop.

Tap Restore Purchases on the paywall, or in Settings → Subscription. That asks Apple to re-check your Apple Account. Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple Account you purchased with.

If it still does not appear, the charge is held by Apple, not by us — write to us and we will help you work out what happened.

Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We are not able to issue App Store refunds ourselves.

Settings → Data & privacy → Encrypted backup. It writes an encrypted copy of your log to your own iCloud Drive. The archive is encrypted on your iPhone before it leaves, and the key is stored in your iCloud Keychain — we never hold either, so we could not read it even if we wanted to.

If the toggle is missing or greyed out, the app has checked and found it cannot honour it: either you are not signed in to iCloud on this device, or iCloud Drive is off. Tipfolio deliberately hides the switch rather than showing one that would silently do nothing.

If you had encrypted backup turned on, sign in to the same Apple Account on the new iPhone, install Tipfolio, and use Settings → Data & privacy → Restore from backup. Your entry timestamps and edit history come across exactly as they were — which is what keeps the record valid for tax purposes.

If you did not have backup on, and you no longer have the old device, we cannot help — we hold no copy. This is the trade-off that comes with having no server. Export a CSV now and then; it costs nothing.

The review screen exists for exactly this: every field it read is editable, and it shows you the line it took each number from, with low-confidence fields marked. Correct anything wrong before you save — the scan never commits silently.

Scanning works best on a flat, well-lit slip with the whole ticket in frame. If a slip consistently fails, email us a description of its layout (never the slip itself, and never your figures) and we will look at the parser.

Settings → Data & privacy → Delete all data — three taps from the settings screen. It tells you exactly what will be lost, offers you a free export first, then erases the local store, any scan images, scheduled reminders, the iCloud backup archive, the encryption key and every preference.

There is no server-side account to delete, because Tipfolio never creates one.

Yes — everything is stored on your phone. You can log shifts with zero signal; nothing needs a server.

If you owe federal income tax, tips you log here count toward the No Tax on Tips deduction — up to $25,000/year for 2025–2028. Your daily log is the record the IRS expects.

About a third of tipped workers don't. Tipfolio still shows your real hourly rate and builds income-proof statements for apartments, loans, and visas.

Your export includes every shift with its date and the time it was entered — a contemporaneous daily record, which is exactly what the IRS asks for.
